A work placement is a free arrangement with a host employer to place you into a work environment over an agreed period, for either work hardening or redeployment / retraining.
You’ll be assigned a STAR Employment Consultant, who will:
- Review your Vocational Assessment / Vocational Counselling or Transferable Skills Audit with you and your Injury Management Consultant
- Discuss a plan for work placement
- Develop a resume
- Contact organisations to locate a work placement opportunity.
After having located a suitable host employer, your STAR Employment Consultant will stay in close contact to monitor your progress with your injury management consultant.
A successful work placement will help you recondition back to your pre-injury role, or re-train for redeployment.
